The three-story half-timbered building, set back from the street and featuring a distinctive 17th-century gable, had stood vacant for many years and was in need of renovation.
A major fire on Rosenstraße resulted in the demolition of the adjacent houses (see article below). The building itself was severely damaged by the firefighting water and had to be shored up on the street side. At the end of 2024, it was acquired by the citizens’ cooperative to secure and preserve it. It is scheduled to undergo a complete renovation in the coming years.
